MEAL PREP: COOKBOOK & GUIDE vigor&belle is a lifestyle brand for healthy eating and beauty that can change the way you live your life. If you constantly find yourself rushing from A to B, while crying in vain to find enough time to prepare a meal, you may need a bit of a helping hand. When you have a bit of free time on a Sunday for example, you should think about preparing your meals for the coming week. I've been preparing meals for years, it's something my mother always did, and what I still do. Meal Preparation Benefits Meal preparation can make life a lot easier, particularly if you would like to sit down to a homemade dinner, but you simply don't have the time to make one. You should set aside at least a few hours each week in order to prepare your meals, but doing so will save you a lot of time. How will it save me time? Preparing meals in one go will save you a lot of time. You will no longer have to stand in front of your oven every night, and you will no longer have a huge pile of dishes to clean. A once a week meal prep 'Session' means you will only have to stand in front of your oven for a few hours once a week. You will also have fewer dishes to wash too, and that can only be a good thing. Budget Friendly Meals that you cook from scratch can be very budget friendly, which means you have the potential to save yourself quite a bit of cash. Eating out, ordering take outs, and consuming TV dinners can cost quite a lot of money. We can easily spend $200-$300 dollars a month on TV dinners for the whole family, throw on everything else, and the costs spiral. When you cook a meal from scratch, chances are you're going to be using the same ingredients again and again. This means that the little pot of mixed herbs you bought last week, can potentially last you for months, if you only use 1 sprinkle per meal. Those fresh vegetables that you buy from your local market won't cost as much as they do in your local store, and they'll stay fresher for longer too. Meals Lasting 4-5 Days The meals that are contained within this eBook typically keep for 4-5 days, if you store them in the refrigerator. One trick that I've found very useful when making a batch of meals, is to stick a label on the tubs and pots I keep them in. That way if I or one of my family members fancies a meal, they can tell what's in the tub, and when it was cooked. Meals can last 4-5 days, sometimes a little longer, but you need to be careful when you keep food in the refrigerator. Chicken and pork should be eaten up as quickly as possible, and prawns are just as important too. You should not consume any chicken, pork, or prawn meals that have been in your refrigerator for any more than 5 days. Freezing Meals When it comes to freezing meals, you have a real potential to save yourself a lot of time, while also having a delicious meal to hand whenever you want one. You will need to make sure that you don't re-freeze meat or fish (Including prawns) that has previously been frozen. If you're not sure whether the ingredients you're using have been frozen, look at the packaging and product description for details. In his midtwenties, Dave Asprey was a successful Silicon Valley multimillionaire. He also weighed 300 pounds, despite the fact that he was doing what doctors recommended: eating 1,800 calories a day and working out 90 minutes a day, six times a week. When his excess fat started causing brain fog and food cravings sapped his energy and willpower, Asprey turned to the same hacking techniques that made his fortune to "hack" his own biology, investing more than $300,000 and 15 years to uncover what was hindering his energy, performance, appearance, and happiness. From private brain EEG facilities to remote monasteries in Tibet, through radioactive brain scans, blood chemistry work, nervous system testing, and more, he explored traditional and alternative technologies to reach his physical and mental prime. The result? The Bulletproof Diet, an anti-inflammatory program for hunger-free, rapid weight loss and peak performance. The Bulletproof Diet will challenge--and change--the way you think about weight loss and wellness. You will skip breakfast, stop counting calories, eat high levels of healthy saturated fat, work out and sleep less, and add smart supplements. In doing so, you'll gain energy, build lean muscle, and watch the pounds melt off. By ditching traditional "diet" thinking, Asprey went from being overweight and sick in his twenties to maintaining a 100-pound weight loss, increasing his IQ, and feeling better than ever in his forties. The Bulletproof Diet is your blueprint to a better life.

Low-fat or low-carb? A recent New York Times Magazine (July 7, 2002) cover story answered this question and said that Dr. Atkins was right all along, "its not fat that makes us fat but carbohydrates." Though the government has spent hundreds of millions of dollars in research trying to prove that fat is the cause of obesity, there has been a subtle shift in the scientific consensus over the past five years supporting what the low-carb diet doctors have been saying all along: if we eat less carbohydrates, we will lose weight and live longer. One of the toughest challenges of any diet is having enough variety and choices to keep the dieter from losing interest. The most common reason that people abandon their diet is boredom but 500 LOW CARB RECIPES: 500 Recipes, From Snacks to Dessert, That the Whole Family Will Love by Dana Carpender has more than enough recipes to keep even the most finicky dieter on track. With recipes for everything including hors dÆoeuvres, snacks, breads, muffins, side dishes, entrees, cookies, cakes and much more, this is an endless supply for creating meals for the whole family night after night. Whether everyone in the family is on a diet or not, these recipes are proven winners with adults and kids alike. Also included: Many one-dish meals for single people--main dish salads, skillet suppers that include meat and vegetables, and hearty soups that are a full meal in a bowl. Ideas for breaking out of old ways of looking at food with suggestions that save time and money and change what is considered a normal meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Information about where to find low-carbohydrate specialty products and descriptions of low-carb specialty foods found in grocery stores everywhere. An entire chapter that lists and describes low-carb substitute ingredients such as fats and oils, flour substitutes, liquids, seasonings and sweeteners. Dieters will be pleased to know that they can eat foods like guacamole, omelets, pizza, steak, ham and dessert without giving up great taste and still lose weight. There are enough recipes to create the perfect menu for any holiday of the year--including Thanksgiving. Each of the 500 recipes includes a carbohydrate count to help calculate the total carb intake of each menu. There are more recipes for main dishes and side dishes than most low-carb dieters will ever be able to eat--everything from down-home cooking to ethnic fare; from quick-and-easy weeknight meals to knock-their-socks off party food. 500 LOW CARB RECIPES is the last cookbook any dieter will ever need to buy and certain to be used until the binding is worn out!
